A degree or diploma is awarded upon completing all required courses in the chosen program of study.

The Practical Nursing Program prepares graduates to practice within the scope of the Practical Nurse under the supervision of a Registered Nurse within structured, acute, intermediate, long term, and ambulatory health care facilities. The student is taught to use the nursing process at the practical nurse level. The Practical Nursing Program is 12 months and completed over three 16-week semesters. Each course is offered a minimum of twice per semester.
The Associate of Science Degree in Nursing Program prepares graduates to practice within the Registered Nurse’s scope. Students are trained to assess, plan and provide direct patient care and be contributing members of health care teams. The Associate of Science Degree in Nursing program is up to 2 years in length and completed over three 16-week semesters per year.
Having a psychology degree from AmeriWest, you will explore the fascinating workings of the human mind. This will prepare you for careers in a vast range of fields. You will develop competence and knowledge of quantitative and experimental approaches to studying the human mind.
